Technical calculated first time passes and disguised body shape. tight ball controll to draw the press from the opposition and quick accurate passes to play around and through the press. |
|
Tactical understand how the triangles in our shape can be linked both horizontally and vertically to build attacks. looking for triangles in multiple directions |
|
Physical constant small adjustments as the ball and players move, to keep passing angles and lanes open. |
|
Psychological understandinmg that there is more then 1 way to progress up the pitch as a unit. moving the front back and sideways to draw opposition into tight spaces which will leave gaps to exploit. players will develop a good understand of why we must be pacient as well as direct when build play |
|
Social linking multiple units within units requires more detailed and functional communications between individuals and units |

2 touch Conditioned game
progressions will include minimum number of build up passes before playing the penertrating pass can be made. and all players having to touch the ball etc. game reset with the goal keeper who possession it is and they pass ball to player in their defensive third
7 vs 7 vs 7 +2 GK's
red team must combine to break down the yellow team who are both pressing the ball in 3's and defending the middle channel of the pitch with in a attempt to stop penertrating passes to the orange. team.
if yellows win the ball back they have 10 seconds to score or the game resets on the opposite side, meaning 3 other players will have to press the orange team while the players who were pressing get back to defend the middle channel.
if either attacking team is sucsessful in finding a penertrating pass, as the ball enters the other half the yellows or defensive & pressing team can send the remaining players to press the ball immediately.
The team receving the penertrating pas have to combine with at least 2 passes and can only score on a 1 touch finish against the GK in their half. they have 10 seconds to score.
If their shot is saved or if they miss the target they must then transition into the defensive & pressing team immeditely and play will start on the other side from the keeper in 10 seconds.

SSG's 1 touch finish
Players will play normal rules apart from to score is one touch finish, if players can pass the ball through each third before score recieve 3 goals
if team switch play before they score get 2 goals
Important coaching points in this phase is players getting into right supportive position to recieve the ball and quick penatrative build up play forward. CM should be always looking to recieve the ball ands either turn and switch play or look for forward pass to build an attack.

Pitch 1
1 touch front back and through pattern warm up
the ball is simply passed forwards, 'SET' backwards to the same player than passed to the player behind the the man who just set the ball. process is repeaded
pitch 2
combination to switching play
2 touch maximum, play starts with a driven switch pass. the ball can be set into either of the 2 wide players. whichever side it is first set too the ball is then played to the oppisite side then set back to the middle player who then drives the ball to the opposite side agin. while the ball is on the other side players must rotate positions to take turns in controlling the ball, setting and switching play
Pitch 3
same practice as pitch 2 however rather than a direct switch to the other side, we now play the ball fowards into the feet of a CM1 who then sets the ball back to CM2 who than switches the ball to the other side for the waiting players to complete their play pattern before repeating this process. CM1 and CM2 now switch roles, who's receiving the first pass and sets the backk back and who plays the switch pass. CM's and servers/outside players are rotated every 4th switch.
ALL 3 pitches will rotate every 5 minutes, All 3 practices were created to combine units both vertically and horizontally.
