SPECIFIC ASPECT: Moving the ball into space (away from pressure) tomake an effective pass to a team-mate.
KEY PRINCIPLE: Effective possession
PLAYER TASKS/ACTIONS:
Check before receiving ball; Receive ball and touch inthe direction of your next pass; Take ball into space away from defenders; Usebody feints to deceive opposition.
COACHINGCUES: Soft feet, body movement, directionof 1st touch, distance of 1st touch, receive all parts ofbody/feet, communication from team-mates, checking before receiving ball, knowingpositioning of team-mates/opposition, knowing next pass before ball isreceived, speed of player action, body feints, deception, create angles withruns, create triangles/diamond shape with team-mates, open body to field.
SKILL INTRODUCTION (20 min)
Yellow players move around circle calling for the balland moving it in a designated direction with their 1st touch andpassing it with their 2nd to a player outside the circle without aball. Outside players may passively pressure receivers.
Rotate players. Use L/R,inside/outside of foot. Serve out of the hand-chest/thigh.
CONCLUDE: with all players in circle 8v4
STEPUP: Add passive defenders in middle
STEP DOWN:Focus on less player actions

20mx30m grid. Play 8v4, with 4 wall players on theoutside. Rotate inside with outside.
Aim is to keep possession. 2-touches all players, ball must keep moving
