10 mins
This time - BLUE have skipped a pass out and have switched the ball quicker
RED SOLUTION 2:
This time it is a quick switch of play, meaning the WB could getcaught in a half and half position if he is not able to get there on the FBs first touch, potentially allowing an easy pass/flick on downthe line to the winger who would be 1v1 with the CB.
- Therefore this time the WB holds position and marks the BLUE winger, and it is the Ball Side CM who comes out and presses the FB- showing down the line this time and not back into the pitch.
- Down the line we have a potential 2v1, BLUE winger vs our WBand WCB.
- The three CB's still slide over as before, the far side Wingback narrows up inside the pitch, and the other CM and the 10 become two screens protecting the CF and 10's feet.
- The CF role is different on this occasion, as the ball side CF drops onto the near side BLUE CM, and the other one sits centrally. Thus allowing the pass back to the CB but preventing the passinside to a free CM.

SET UP:
- Full Pitch
- 22 Players
- RED (Coached) 3412
- BLUE (Opposition) 4231
BLOCKS:PRACTICE EXPLAINED:
- BLUE looking to play through the thirds having a possession based approach
- Looking to switch play and get players on the ball able to play forwards. Aiming to score in the RED goal.
- RED aiming to defend in a mid block, and effectively deal with different switches of play.
Looking to force the BLUE to play into a wide area and then aim to winpossession back and counter quickly from the mid block positions
BLUE PROBLEM 1:
Switch the ball across the pitch playing thorough the back 4
RED SOLUTION:
As the ball gets to the BLUE FB, the RED WB is locking on in a full press. As this happens the back 3 shuffles round into a back 4. the RCB is now a RB, and LWB becomes a LB.
