1v1 - Gates (10 mins)

Rules/Explanation

  • Set the field up in a 20m x 20m area
  • P1 decides which gate to go through first and dribbles the ball through the first gate
  • P2 sprints to the opposite gate as P1 and then looks to defend 1v1 denyingP1 scoring through the gate
  • Continue with the same team attacking and defending, once each player has had a go swap over

1v1 - Transition from Attack to Defend (10 mins)

Rules/Explanation

  • Set the field up in a 20m x 20m area
  • Each player has a ball
  • Start play at one end of the field
  • P1 initiates a 1v1 against player P2 to try and score.
  • Once P1 has shot/scored P3 becomes the attacker and P1 defends 1v1
  • Players keep alternate from attack to defend

Rules/Explanation

  • Set the field up in a 20m x 20m area
  • P1 starts with the ball trying to score against the goalkeeper 1v1.
  • Once P1 has taken the shot P2 attacks the adjacent goal and P1 becomes defender.
  • P2 beats P1 1v1 and has a shot at goal against goalkeeper.
  • Players keep alternating from attack into defence and trying to beat 1v1 and goalkeeper.
  • Players go to opposite lines.
  • Encourage left and right touch and shooting.

SSG - 2 Ways to Score (15 mins)

Rules/Explanation

  • Set the field on half pitch
  • Small Sided Game (5v5) or if uneven have a joker
  • To score a goal, ball must be passed into outside channel creating a 1v1 to score
  • Encourageplayer to play forward, beat the defend 1v1 and shoot for goal (1 point) or runthrough the poles (2 points)
  • Oncea team has scored start from the back and play forward
  • Change to 2v2, 2v1 in channels to progress the game
