Linear Speed Warm-Up (15 mins)

Band Progressions: Side Walks 10 each way, back pedal, Monster walk fwd/bwd 10 yards & back, 3 Way reach w/ Side lunge hold 10 each leg, Snap Downs (around knees) 10 reps

Transition Numbers Game (20 mins)

Transition Numbers Game to Goals:

10 Goals in 10 minutes. Run the Difference.

Set-up: Coach has group of balls. There are two teams directly on opposite side.

Coach calls a 2 digit number. 52 or 64. The first number is for the black team and second number is for the blue team. When the number is called for those respective players run arround cone that is placed or small goal.

Players have to set themselves up on the fly and figure out best shape to have when playing the game.

Spacing will be very important in this game.

-If ball goes out, coach can choose to play another ball in for same group

FIELD DIMENSIONS: Activity A: 10x12 yards / Activity B: 20x12 yards

TOTAL PLAYERS: 16 (8 per group)

TIME: 24 Minutes. Ratio: 2 minutes / 1 minute (x4)  - Per Activity

ORGANIZATION & CONDITIONS

Activity A: 1v1

Activity starts with Red passing to Blue. Red runs around cone and then defends.

Blue player must stay in highligted blue zone until until they cross halfway line (then they can shoot or attack anywhere)

Activity B: 2v2

Activity starts with Red passing to Blue. Red runs around cone and then defends.

One Blue attacker and Red defender starts in middle of aquare. Blue players can only score in highlighted zone.
