7v7 Specific Practice. Grid 20x20. With four small goals in the corner of the pitches. 7 red bibs 7 blue bibs. Balls in a nest behind the defender of the attacking red team.
To regress the session
Add an extra defender for a numerical advantage
Attacking team to switch the play twice before scoring a goal to give defenders a chance to remain in shape or get back into shape.
No tackling in wide areas.
To progress the session
Add an extra attacker.
Time limit to get a shot off after winning the ball back.

Defending the switch
Ball to start with red centre back. Coach the blue team.Reds to switch the ball to try and score in both small goals in the corner of the pitches.
Coaching points for Blue team OP
Remain connected and compact. Slide when ball is switched together.
Press the ball on bad touches from attacking side.
Push out when a backwards pass has been played.
Communicate and protect the centre of the pitch.
When blues win it back- time frame on getting the ball into the small goals at their attacking end in the corners.
