Organisation:

Team set up as diagram, 2 players on posts, 3 on 6 yard line, 3 in front man marking.

GK covers centre of goal.

Full backs (2,3) on both posts.

CB's & wide mid on 6 yd line.

3 CM man marking.

Wide mid on edge of box.

Coaching points:

Be touch tight to all players in the box.

Be first to the ball, be aggressive. Communicate.

Our most aggressive player marks the opponents most aggressive. Match up height if possible.

Track runs in the box.

Wide mid on the edge of the box to win any clearance and stop any shot from the edge of box.

5 on the corner of six yd box, in the hole to win near post.

If a short corner is being taken, 2 players closest press, ie. 3 & 5 press the short corner.

Player on other post moves to front post, players on 6 yd line move a place forward to cover.

9(CF) stays high on the side of the pitch the corner is being taken on as an outlet if def winds the ball.
