Football/Soccer Session (Moderate): Possession Game.

Possession game (20 mins)

Possession game. 45x45 yard area. Two Pinnie colors, wide players are neutrals, they are possession players. 

Ball starts with the centerback, the objective is to get it to the striker at the othe end of the play area. Ball should move quickly through the position players. Use the wide area players as much as possible. Wide players move to support up and down the line. Keep possession, move the ball effectively. Points systems determine the winner. 

POINTS: Offense

1 awarded for 5 consecutive passes. 

2 points awarded for moving the ball using give and go's, overlaps, and through balls. 

3 points awarded for finding the striker.

POINTS: Defense

1 point for forcing a trail pass.

2 points for tackling the ball. 

3 points for gaining possession from a tackle or interception.

Players are expected to have hight intensity, game like effort. Keeping the possession is the focal point, Playing the ball forward is the objective, find the striker. Use the entire area and stay in your space. Create 1v1 battles all over the field. No passes under 5 yards or over 20 yards. Pace on the ball is important.
