Intro

The players are split into 3 pitches and play 3v2/2v1/2v3 line ball. The emphasis is on recognising when to use the spare player with quick and accurate passes and when to go alone.

The players are now split into 2 groups, with 3 teams. One team is positioned at each end with one group defending the middle line.

The Blues must break the central line with a dribble or pass and then play the ball to the Yellows. The Yellows then attack the opposite end line, with the Blues taking their place.

After 3/4 goes the defenders switch positions. If the defenders win the ball they score by attacking the opposite end line.

Rotate the defending teams every 2 minutes.

Practice 2

The GK rolls the ball out to the central player (Orange) who passes the ball left or right and then defends 2v1. Once the players have had their attack the GK restarts the game, the players then move to the left, changing the central player.

To progress there are now 2 games in 1. The first game is played exactly the same as the previous game. Once the game is over the 2 attackers remain on and the next group of 3 players dribble in to play 3v2.

Game

For the game the teams are split into 3 attackers, 2 defenders and a GK. Initially the players are locked into their halves.

To progress a defensive player can dribble into the attacking half or join the attackers if a pass is played, creating a 4v2. Once possession is lost they must return to their original position.

Now an attacking player from the team out of possession is allowed to recover. If an attacking player does not make a forward run to support the play this will create a 3v3, otherwise it will be a 4v3 or 4v2 if the attacking team transition quicker.

To finish players engage in free play.
