Divide teams into two teams of eight. Use neutrals for extra players. Each team has 4 players inside the grid and 4 players outside the grid as flank players. Team plays 4v4 inside the grid, max of two touch but they can use their flank players to keep possession. Rotate the inside and outside players every four to five minutes.
Variations: attacking team scores one point for completing a certain number of passes (5) in a row. Whenever a flank palyer passes to a teammate or vice versa they exchange positions.
CPs: Players off the ball must move to create space for teammates and provide passing options to the right, left, and center.

Two teams split up between two grids creating a 4v4 environment in each grid. 5v5 will work as well if numbers permit. Two fields/grids are side by side. Play 4v4 or 5v5 on both fields. When a player provides an assist, they run over to the other field and play for the same color. Progress until the game becomes too lopsided or for time. The team that has the players provide the most assists, not goals, wins.
CPs: Movement off the ball from attacker. Weight and accuracy of the pass on the assist. Communication, spacing and shape.

Scenarios
8v8 or 9v9 free play where each team works on problem solving through various game like scenarios.
Can play 4v4 or more depending on numbers. Give each team a scenario. Make sure that the scenarios are kept secret from the other team. (Ex: one team is a goal down. The other team is a goal up with 5 minutes up.) Implement set piece scenarios as well. Progression: Tell one team that if they score a goal within the first two minutes then it's worth double. Tell the other team if they don't allow a goal in the first two minutes then they get a point.
Each scenario should create the appropriate sense of urgency for each team.

4v2 Keep Away (20 mins)
Mark out two pairs of 22x22 grids side by side. Divide players into four teams of four, one for each grid.
Divide each team into two pairs; partners will work together on defense.
Teams play 4v2 inside one grid while the extra pair of defenders waits in the neighboring grid. If ball goes out or is touched by a defender, it is passed to the other grid, where the two former defenders join up with their teammates. Two of the former attackers follow to defend.
CPs: Attackers spread out across the entire width and length of the grid. Three players off the ball must provide passing options to the right, left, and center. Their movements should be quick, sharp, and always supportive. When possible, ball carrier should look to split two defenders with a pass.
