SET UP:
- SSG with different conditions on pitches.
- Pitch 1 - A goal using a bounce pass around a defender = 3 goals
- Pitch 2 - Any pass between 2 defenders (also dribble) = 1 point. Team can accumulate points and bank them by scoring a goal.
KEY POINTS:
- CAN I USE A TEAMMATE TO GET PAST A DEFENDER?
- IF I CAN'T DRIBBLE PAST A DEFENDER, CAN I USE 2 QUICK PASSES TO GET AROUND INSTEAD?
- HOW WILL THE SPEED OF A PASS AFFECT AN OPPOSITION DEFENDER?
- CAN I MOVE TO CREATE AN OVERLOAD (2V1/3V2)?
POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS:
- Floating neutrals who can swith pitch to create overloads.
- Overloads/Underloads built in to matches.

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.

- 1v1 in central box with 2 target players.

- Target player can pass between target player to score but only after pass (bounce pass) from central player.
- If player out of possession wins ball, their job is then to score in the same way, but must first reset the game by playing to a target player.
KEY POINTS:
- MOVEMENT OFF BALL (TO CREATE SPACE TO RECIEVE OR TO CREATE SPACE FOR TEAMMATE TO RECIEVE/PLAY THROUGH)
- MOVEMENT OFF BALL (TOWARDS BALL TO CREATE OVERLOADS IN SPECIFIC AREAS)
- BODY SHAPE/POSITION/ANGLE (CAN I RECIEVE TO PLAY FORWARD? IF NOT, WHAT IS MY NEXT OPTION?)
- COMBINATION PLAY (TO MOVE THE DEFENDER OUT OF POSITION OR TO PLAY AROUND DEFENSIVE PRESSURE)
- IF I CAN'T DRIBBLE PAST A DEFENDER, CAN I USE 2 QUICK PASSES TO GET AROUND INSTEAD?
- PASS COMMUNICATION (CAN I MOVE A TEAMMATE INTO SPACE/AWAY FROM PRESSURE/FORWARD WITH A PASS)
- HOW WILL THE SPEED OF A PASS AFFECT AN OPPOSITION DEFENDER?
POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS:
- Target players able to move into central box to create overloads.

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
SET UP:
- 1v1 with neutral player in wide zone.
- 1v1 in central box. 1 neutral player who can occupy one of the wide zones.
- The attacking player in the centre can dribble to score or combine with the neutral player to score.
- If the defender wins the ball, they can score in the opposite goal, but cannot use the neutral player.
KEY POINTS:
- WHEN TO PASS? WHEN TO DRIBBLE? (WHAT WILL IMPACT THIS DECISION? - DEFENDER'S POSITION/AVAILABLE SPACE/SKILL SET)
- MOVEMENT OFF BALL (TO MOVE BEYOND THE DEFENDER TO RECIEVE/ TO CREATE SPACE TO DRIBBLE OR SHOOT)
- BODY SHAPE/POSITION/ANGLE (CAN I RECIEVE TO PLAY FORWARD? IF NOT, WHAT IS MY NEXT OPTION?)
- COMBINATION PLAY (TO MOVE THE DEFENDER OUT OF POSITION OR TO PLAY AROUND DEFENSIVE PRESSURE)
- IF I CAN'T DRIBBLE PAST A DEFENDER, CAN I USE 1/2 QUICK PASSES TO GET AROUND INSTEAD?
- PASS COMMUNICATION (CAN I MOVE A TEAMMATE INTO SPACE/AWAY FROM PRESSURE/FORWARD WITH A PASS)
- HOW WILL THE SPEED OF A PASS AFFECT AN OPPOSITION DEFENDER?

- Team select 1 player. This player is on unrestricted touches, but cannot score.
- The rest of the team is on 2 touch max but can score.
- Focus for unrestricted player is to use touches to create opportunites to penetrate. restricted players will need to move to create overloads and quick combinations.
KEY POINTS:
- UNRESTRICTED PLAYER - WHEN TO PASS? DRIBBLE?
- HOW CAN YOU USE TEAMMATES TO CREATE OVERLOADS/COMBINATIONS TO PLAY AROUND/THROUGH PRESSURE?
- RESTRICTED PLAYERS - HOW CAN YOU MOVE/POSITION TO CREATE OVERLOADS THAT PLAYER CAN USE TO COMBINE AND PLAY AROUND DEFENDERS?
- BODY SHAPE/POSITION/ANGLE (TOWARDS GOAL OR TO PLAY INTO SPACE? CAN YOU POSITION EARLY TO SAVE TIME WHEN IN POSSESSION - TO PLAY QUICKLY)
- BALL CIRCUALTION (HOW WILL THE SPEED OF PASSES AFFECT HOW THE DEFENDERS MOVE? WILL IT CREATE SPACE TO PLAY THROUGH OR WILL WE USE COMBINATIONS TO PLAY AROUND?)
- PASS COMMUNICATION (TO MOVE TEAMMATE INTO SPACE/AWAY FROM PRESSURE/FORWARD)
- CAN I USE A TEAMMATE TO GET PAST A DEFENDER?
- IF I CAN'T DRIBBLE PAST A DEFENDER, CAN I USE 2 QUICK PASSES TO GET AROUND INSTEAD?
- HOW WILL THE SPEED OF A PASS AFFECT AN OPPOSITION DEFENDER?
- CAN I MOVE TO CREATE AN OVERLOAD (2V1/3V2)?
POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS:
- Split pitch - must have 1 player on each half to encourage principles of play.
- Use of neutral players to create overloads and easier combinations.

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
