Session that coaches 2 and 3 man attack and defence with recovering defender. The game gives the coach a chance to develop team shape in defence, retaining possession 2nd ball, and plenty attacking opportunities. Ideally this is 2 or 3 sessions.

Players, inc spare GKs queue as shown.
First pair go thru agility zone and 1st one to get to centre circle rolls / passes for 2nd player to receive. They then pass as shown so that the first player gets the shot (reward for being 1st).
Join opposite queue.
Next pair set off together when first of the pair in front get to centre circle.
When first spare GK arrives back he takes over in goal and current GK joins queue.

2 teams split into attack and defence groups and work in 2s. Coned area is variable.
Play moves alternate, D1 plays against A1, and vv
The GK plays the ball out for blacks to mount an attack. 1st defender active immediately, 2nd recovering defender runs around cone to become active - cone is variable position.
They can shoot from anywhere. Whites score by passing thru the cone pairs.
Progress to 1 touch finish.
*1st defender basics - close down, bend run, delay, force play wide/away from centre
*attacking speed to maintain 2v1 overload.
Progress then as R side -
Attacker is back to goal.
*blacks attack quick to get to the open space
*pass/shoot early
*use crossover runs or takeovers to beat the defenders
*support each other - START AGAIN - each time they do the whites add a defender
Game is over if ball goes dead, or goal scored.
All players swap sides after a play. 5 mins each team.

Starting positions shown - half pitch only so start high to get most realism.
Coach serves to put pressure on the area he chooses.
- high into striker/CBs
- wide/low
- high and wide to FBs
- switch sides quickly to force whites to regroup and reshape quickly
- play through when defenders have been forced back.
Blacks attempt to win 2nd ball and combine to score.
Whites defend and cover looking for out ball 10 or full backs, and to score thru the pole goals.

* whites 10 to show for ball and to be option for FBs
* blacks to win 2nd ball
* blacks use width and pace
Progress to free play, with blacks possession to start each play.

2 teams numbered consecutively. 4v2 in centre, blues keep prossession using ALL outer players to do so. Outer players have only 2 touches. When red touches ball or blue loose possession that 4 blues go off.
Next 2 reds join existing to make 4 in possession, and next 2 blues come in as chasers.
