Final third pass and move rotation technique drill cont.
Rotation 2:
Player 1 starts with possession of the ball, passing the ball into player 3 on their back foot, player two in transition of that pass will drop off the back of their cone and burst into the space between them and player 3 to receive a set ball, player 2 will play a ball into the path of player 4 who will have made a movement off the back of their cone to burst into the space behind the cone to receive the pass from player 2 and get a shot off, players will then reset rotating positions (see rotational guide) and play from player 5.

Possible interventions:
1 to 1 interventions:
Player 1's pass to the back foot.
Player 3's set pass.
Player 2/3/4's movement off the cone.
Group interventions:
Why make the movement off the cones? (create space to move into).
Weight of passes. (allow players space to move onto the ball & time to pick their pass).
Drive by interventions:
Back foot reception from player 3.
weight of pass from player 3 (praise or correction).
Player 2/3/4's movement (praise or correction).
Finishing praise.

Rotation 3:
Player 1 starts with possession, player two makes a movement off the top right of their cone to change direction and drop short to play a 1-2 with player 1 who will step forward towards player 3 to receive player 2's pass, player 3 will make a double movement from the left of their cone IN FRONT of their cone to the right to move onto the through pass played by player 1 to get a shot on goal, players will then reset into position (See rotational guide) to play from player 5.

Potential interventions:
1 to 1 interventions:
Player 2's movement off their cone.
Player 1's forward movement to receive the pass.
Player 3/4's double movement in front of their cone.
Group interventions:
Why do we make the double movements? (Create the space to move into).
Why does player 2 play the pass in front of player 1? (step into space and break defensive lines).
Why does player 3/4 make the movement in front of their cone? (practice variety of movements, vision of opposite centre half to time run and stay onside).
Drive by interventions:
weight of passes (praise or correction).
Movement off cones (praise or correction).
Shooting techniques (praise or correction).
work rate and speed of play (praise or encouragement).

Rotation 1:
Player 1 starts with possession of the ball, Player 2 makes a small movement towards player five before spinning into the space between 2 & 3, player 3 creates space for them in behind by dropping off their cone when player 2 changes direction, when player 2 receives the ball player 3 spins in behind their cone towards goal, player 2 plays a pass into the path of player 3 so that player three has a shot on goal from a central area, play with restart from player 5 with players rotating into new positions (see rotational guide).

Group interventions:
