Start off unopposed, Get players used to protecting the ball.

Get body into position between player and ball

Decision Making (20 mins)

Decision Making

Description

Player 1 dribbles towards player 3. They either try and beat them 1v1 or bounce a pass of player 2 (One,Two) and then try and score. Player 1 becomes player 2 and player 2 becomes player 3 and player 3 joins the line (To be player 1).

Coaching Points

Encourage them to be creative.

Quality of the pass to your team mate must be good.

Look for the space

Def needs to be side on, nice and low, soft knees.

Description

SSG

Defenders , Midfield and attack are locked in positions

Player in possession can pass forward into the next zone, if the pass is completed then they can follow it and create 3v2. Once possession is lost then the player needs to return to starting position.

Coaching points

In possession

What pass do you make, Long, short, driven, a one two?

Do you dribble (beat the man) or pass

Try and create the overload (2v1,3v2 etc)

Scan (See who/what is around you)

Out of possession

Can you cut the pass out

Where is the best position occupy

Can you apply pressure (Cut the distance)

Transition back to position as quick as possible (Goal side)

Progress to a match with no restriction just individual goals
