Phase Two
*Same Set-up as Phase One
Training Instructions (Phase Two)
1. The coach plays the ball into the field of play and shouts out a command (such as Play) to begin play.
2. The first player in each line must sprint to the ball in attempt to reach the ball first.
3. Once a player wins the ball they must turn and shoot the ball in under 2-3 touches.4. Player who does not will the ball defends with light pressure but does not engage to win the ball.
Training Variations (Phase Two)
*Coach can use variations on balls played (flighted, bouncing, rolling, top spin and back spin)
*Move to play the feeder balls to one side of the pitch or the other to encourage players to move toward the goal once they have received the ball and turned.
*Have the player who did not initially win the ball defend at 1/2 pressure and increase to full pressure
*Turn it into a competition (first team to 5 wins)

Set up remains the same as Phase One and Two with additional players lines on the sidelines
Training Instructions (Phase Three):
1. The coach plays the ball into the field of play and shouts out a command (such as Play) to begin play.
2. The first player in each line must sprint to the ball in attempt to reach the ball first.
3. Once a player wins the ball cleanly, player turns and plays the ball to their teammate on the sideline and then runs into space towards the goal.
4. Sideline player crosses the ball into the box while original player runs onto the ball and receives the ball in the air to score.
5. Player who does not will the ball defends with light pressure but does not engage to win the ball.
Variations on Phase One:
*Coach can use variations on balls played (flighted, bouncing, rolling, top spin and back spin)
*Turn it into a competition (first team to 5 wins)
*Have the player who did not initially win the ball defend at 1/2 pressure and increase to full pressure

Players line up in 2 lines on each side of the goal.
