Messi / Ronaldo Warm Up (15 mins)

Ball Each Ball Mastery

Grid is split into a big square and a small square. Players start in the small square (Messi) and then on command move to the bigger square (Ronaldo)

Within the warm up, different types of ball mastery will be used

Different games can be used (numbers / tag / knockout)

Coaching points:

- Size of touches

- Change Speed / direction

- Use of skills

- Head Up

Ball Mastery (technical corridor) (15 mins)

Running with the ball (technical)

Groups of 3. 2 on one end and 1 opposite.

Player with ball works through the "corridor" and then takes ball to the opposite player who does the same. A variety of different conditions apply:

1. Dribble - turn - dribble - turn - dribble to end line

2. Side to side dribbling

3. Side to side dribbling using outside x3 and inside

4. Touch the sides of the corridor 3 times before going to endline (with and without ball)

5. Skill move in the middle box

6. Skill move past the cone / ball (with and without ball)

Coaching points:

- Size of touches

- Body position

- Head Up

- Short, sharp turns

1 v 1 progressions (10 mins)

1 v 1 to endline

The attacker has to try and go past the defender to the endline.

Progressions:

1. No ball

2. Ball Added - Defender can only move side to side

3. Defender can move anywhere in middle box

4. Defender has free movement

Coaching points:

- Small touches as get closer to defender

- Use of skills

- Drop knee / shoulder

- Creativity

Skills Gauntlet (15 mins)

Skill Gauntlet

Player starts with the ball at the top of the "gauntlet". 2 defenders start on their start line. Once an attacker enters their zone, the defender can try to win the ball. If the attcaker makes it through both defenders then they try to score in the goal past the GK. (Once you go past a defender's zone, they can't track you)

- Spacial Awareness

- Size of touches

- Deception / Disguise

- Drop knee / shoulder

- Explode after skill
