Objective: Improve defenders' ability to deal with balls facing their own goal.
Activity: Servers play ball behind or over defender. Red player puts pressure on back facing their own goal. Keeper cannot come claim the ball. Does defender play out to winger or back to CB. Goal is to get it back to server.
Coaching points: Body position, get body across the forward, players should take a bigger first touch to get from pressure, check shoulder, GKs should show at an angle to play out, if played back to keeper- are they supporting, use foot furthest from pressuring forward.
