Continuing our theme of turning away from pressure. Players will now practice multiple turning techniques to turn away from pressure on their first touch. Today we will focus when our back is turned away from goal. As players should have a positive attacking mindset utilizing an explosive first touch when pressure is from behind.

Organization
-30x20 split into 3 channels
-3-4 players in each channel with a ball
-pug goals
-gates
Instructions
1. players will form two lines at opposite sides of the grid ,1 ball per
player except player B.
2.player B will run from the opposite side of the grid checking
through the yellow gate and receive a pass from player A
3. once the ball is received player B will look to turn round the cone
using one of the turning techniques and accelerate through the
blue gate at the end then return to his line
4.player A will now check in through the yellow gates and receive a
pass from players C and turn round the cone and dribble through
the blue gate and return to the back of their line.
Coaching Points
-first touch/turns with pressure from behind principles
-Big touch to attack space
-Touch with foot in stride
-Contact with the laces
-Head up after every touch
-Awareness of next action
-Awareness of speed and direction of the defender
-Can you get in front of the defender and cut across them if wanting to continue to dribble? Diagonal touch across the defenders

Progressions
Option 1-PG. after the turn the Player B will now pass to player C 1 ball per group
Option 2-PG. Add pugs to allow players to check their shoulders and choose their end product shoot or penetrate with dribble they will
turn to either side based on their choice, swap the goals to different sides after a set amount off time.
Option 3-PG after player B turns allow him to go 1v1 either to goal for 3 points or penetrate with dribble in the gate for 2 against player
C. if defender C steals they must transition to the opposite gate or goal for points
Option 4-PG have the players check away from the middle and receive the ball going into the gate to show them the movement of how to unbalance defenders and create there own space to get in behind the block also this will allow the players to work on different types of turns

Instructions
1. player #10 passes to player #9 who receives to turn going 1v1 with
pressure from behind coming from defense player D
2.If defender steals they must then transition & dribble through the gates at
the opposite end of the field

9 moves to 10
10 moves to defense (D)
D collects the ball and goes to the back of the line

- team must set themselves with 3 lines of attack defense- midfield- forward
-observe game and let players make decisions
-if necessary step in and guide players on when to dribble, pass or shoot

Instructions
Phase 1
1. Players inside the grid will pass to a bounce player on the edge
2. bounce player will play to desired food and say turn!
3. receiving player must perform a turn on their first touch then explode into the square to found a new bounce player
4. make it into competition
Phase 2
1. players in the inside must pass to a player on the outside then open up body shape in open space
2. player that received the ball must pass back to player's back foot
3. make it into a competition (how many passes can a player make in 30 seconds intervals)
4. rotate players in possession and edge players after each round
