Organization:
40x40 gird 5-10Y channel middle of field, 5v4v5 (numbers depending)
Instructions:
reds look to move ball from one side of square to other for 1 point, if played through 1 of 3 gates worth 2 points, blues move into boxes to create 5v2 (4v2) with other blues only allowed to protect shaded area and stop pass through gate or to other team waiting. If ball is transfered into other side then blues in shaded area look to pressure ball instantly while recovering blues move into shaded area to protect forward pass, if blues win the ball they make 3 passes for 1 point. Rotate players in middle
Coaching Points/Questions:
speed of play, quality of passing, support play off the ball, communication, 1st touch ball control, decision making
Why is speed of play important and how can it affect defenders?
When could we look to play forward to other team waiting?
Regressions/Progressions:
create less pressure take defender out of 4v2
time limit on being able to switch ball
limit touches (3 touch)

Key Factors
Playing out from the back (Unopposed) transition to opposed.
Look to replicate passing patterns from technical phase and build upon skill level
Key points: Don't start where you want to finish.
-Speed of movement- fast to get away from attackers. Start narrow until ball is placed from GK.
-Speed of play- to not invite too much pressure in our defensive 3rd.Don't hold ball too long or look to dribble out 1v1
-Body positioning-back foot 1,2 touch
- Play the way you face
- 3rd player use to penetrate
Organization
Working with back 3 (9 aside) and midfielder. Ball starts from GK, once ball is placed, communicate to split. CB determines which way to go, Ball side FB goes high and wide. Opposite FB tucks in slightly. Once pattern complete they pass to the attackers who then counter on defenders (work on compactness in transition). 4vs 4. Ball goes wide or out then reset play from GK who starts the pattern again.
1st pattern. GK-CB-FB-MID-ATTACKERS
2nd pattern GK-MID (DROPS IN ONCE SPLIT)-CB-FB-ATTACKERS
