Football/Soccer Session (Difficult): Attacking quickly Midfield & front 3 link up play.

Set up: 15x15 yrd Sq in middle of pitch play 4v2, big goal with 4/3 def & front 3 players.

Format: Central Sq complete 4 passes & play into any front 3 player, 2 Midfield players will break out to support to create 5v4 & attempt to score quickly. If def win ball in central Sq they score into small goal, if 4 def win the ball the game becomes live & attempt to counter & score in any of the 3 small goals. 

Key points: Combinations & Quality passes - When playing to the goal, players need to use quick and creative combination play depending on the defender's position whilst also looking to support around and away from the ball., positioning angles& distance of support to create good passing angles.

Attack space quickly - Attackers attack the open space with speed and quality depending on the position of the defenders and their recovery lines. Recognition of space and teammates movement. Front 3 movement to get in behind or drop of & link up play depending on location of player on ball.

Finishing & 2nd balls - When attacking the area, aim to have a least 4 players in the box and 1 outside for the second balls and rebounds. Players should use different types of finishing to beat the Goalkeeper.
