Throw in Set Up:

KEY

• That the 6/8 stay away from the thrower to create the space
• Player taking throw in understands the need for a quality throw, and the timing of it.
• The 6/8 need to be receiving the ball on the run, so they can run into the space and switch the ball, the ball side wide player can also drop in to rotate also. FB always takes the throw

• Main players are the; 6,8, ball side wide player

• The aim is to create space for the 6,8 to receive the ball and switch play.

• 6,8 movement will create space and enable the switch of play
• 9 stays down the line incase the space doesn't appear - who still has the 10/11 around him to win 2nd balls.

• To be able to switch the ball from the first pass off the throw. 
• If done, the opposition wont be set up to defend the switch, so the throw and the movement are the most important parts.
• The aim is to try and get our midfield 2v2 against their midfield from the throw in
