5v5v5 Positional Game.
Teams in end zones play together in attempt to build out and play ball through midfield zone to team mates. Each team set up with a back 4 and CDM - the full backs and CDM can play in both zones 1 and 2. Defensive team is set up with LW, ST, RW and 2 CM's.
If the defending team win the ball, they look to score against team who lost possession, if they do teams switch roles.
* How can our attacking 3 press in a fashion that forces the ball into our midfield 2? Preventing switches and blocking wide passes to full backs
* Covering positions in relation to the press from our 2 CM's. Screening passes through midfield, reading passer's body language, offering information to players on 1st defensive line.
* Transitions - Positive and negative. Can we score quickly if we win the ball? If we allow ball across can we react quickly to press team in possession?
Progressions
* In possession teams can only play ground passes
* Defensive team can drop more players into midfield block and wait for triggers to press

Focusing on the blues who are set up in a 433 minus 1 CB and full backs. Yellows are in a 433 without wingers. Yellows aim is to play through the thirds and get their striker 1v1 in attacking zone. Blues are aiming to win the ball and score, it's 3 points if they can win ball in midfield zone and score.
* Can the blue wingers cover shadow and block passes into yellow full backs, whilst also be in a position to press a CB's heavy touch and potentially intercept a poor pass from CB into a CM
* Can blue CM's look to play on the front foot and intercept passes into yellow CM, wingers and striker look to win the ball from the front when possible.
* Shift and slide collectively at a similar speed to maintain distances in the block
* If the blues allow passes into midfield zone, how can they screen passes into yellow striker?
Progressions
* If blues win the ball they also get a point if they can keep the ball for 5 seconds, allows blues to expand into agrresive shape
* When ball goes into yellow attacking zone, 2 players from each team can join to make 3v3.
* If blues win possession, they can only score with working the ball wide and crossing to the back post

4v4 Arrival Games
Pitch is split into thirds to give players visual of where we are focusing on ( midfield third )
Both teams set up in a diamond representing DM, 2 x CM and striker within 11v11 formation.
Normal game except each team gets an extra point every time they regain the ball in their midfield zone. Goals count as a point.
* Compactness - Horizontally and vertically
* Where do we want the striker to force the ball? Does he drop into midfield third to give us 4v3 overload? When would he go and press?
* CM's - playing on the front foot to step forward and intercept passes into opponent's feet. Pressing from the ball side to try and win possession. Reading passer's body language to intercept which will help lead to a counter attack.
