A practice where speed and agilities create heavy breathing while continuously moving giving little rest to keep the heart rate up.

Warmup Up Jog (5 mins)

Lap 1: Blue Lines

The team will jog around the field together at a medium pace. The team will stick together faster runners will push the slower runners.

Lap 2: Grey Lines

The team will pick up a ball in the starting corner and drip at a faster pace, the ball will be at their feet not a kick and run. The team will spread out depending on their ability to keep the ball at their feel. Once they get to the far corner, they will cut into the corner of the 18-yard box push the ball to a shooting position and put the ball in the net for ball collection.

Stretches (15 mins)

The team will line up on the end line beginning their dynamic stretching led by the captains or strength and conditioning coach. 

The team will take their time and stretch to get ready for the day's practice.

Touches (20 mins)

Players will pair up and complete their touches routine.

Player 1 gets a volley pass to begin the routine. Then he slouems through the cones and faces back to player 2 where player two will give another volley touch.

Player 1 back pedals to the flat cone and recieves a header pass. Player 1 shuffles to the other flat cone where he recieves another header pass. and then runs to the start.

Player 1 recieves a volley pass at the beginning. Then he high knees over the cones and recieves another volley pass.

Player 1 back pedals to the flat cone and recieves a chest trap ball and he volleys the ball back to player 2. Then he shuffles to the other flat cone where he recieves another chest pass and volleys back. Then runs to the start.

Player 1 recieves a volley pass at the beginning. THen he double jumps over the cones and recieves another volley pass.

Player 1 back pedals to the flat cone and recieves a thigh pass and he volleys the back to player 2. Then he shuffles to the other flat cone where he recieves another thigh pass and volleys back. Then runs to the start.

Player one runs through the cycle 15 times and then swich players.

Defend and Sprint back to help (15 mins)

Two goals are placed outside the middle circle. Player in the middle sprints to the right goal to stop the left line dribbles in and shoots on goal. 

Green player in the middle sprints to the red line and attempts to stop the red player from shooting on goal.

Red player at the front of the line, after he shoots, sprints to the green line and attempts to stop the green shooter.

The next green shooter sprints to the red line and attempts to stop the red shooter.

The lines rotate to the other shooting line. 

Coaching Points:

For the defender: recovery speed is important to get back and cover the attack.

For the attacker: focus on having a plan when they're at the front of line.

For people in line: pay attention to the drill and and when the defender reaches the first cone then they can begin their attack.

Cross and Finish (20 mins)

Field is set up with 4 ladders spaced out as such:

2 ladders for the entry pass to CAM

2 ladders for the CAM about 25 yards from goal.

All passes and players should be running at speed and jogging back to the end of the line to keep the line continously moving.

Red outside mid passes to the CAM and then runs through the ladder.

CAM lays a flat pass to the outside mid who finished the ladder. Then the CAM runs through their ladder.

Outside mid passes to the outside forward who created space from the dumby set up at the corner of the 18.

Outside forward sends a low and hard pass to the CAM who times his run to time the pass.

CAM shoots on one touch.

The green side goes same pattern.

After 10/15 minutes the lines switch sides.

Coaching Points:

Players should be running at speed and commuincating where they would like the pass.

Players should weight the pass so the recieving player can pass on one touch.

Shots should be in the corners and not in the middle.

Additional runs can be added

Defenders could be added to defend once the ball is played out wide.

15's (30 mins)

Play is extended to 11's with the addition of 4 stationary defenders.

Coaching Point: The dumbys are there to clog up passing lanes and have the outside players focus on finding the runners for the crossed ball.

Play is played with 2 touch restrictions.

Goals can be scored from crosses.

Goalkeepers work on communcation with their defenders on the runs while the dumbys work to clog up the play into the middle. To focus on the drill previous.
