Organization
- Field area 20x35
- Cones to mark zones off
- 2 pug nets
- Pinnies for one team
- 6 v 6 teams with 2 defenders in each end zone, 3 midfielders, and one striker in each end zone
Instruction
- Players attempt to score on goal
- Goal can be attempted from any zone
- Players must stay in own zone and if player crosses zone, ball is given to opposition
- If player intentionally kicks ball out then player must run around their own goal and get back in to play. Game continues without that player.
Progression
- One midfielder can assist a striker to create a 2v2 situation
Coaching Emphasis
- Closest player to close down attacker and delay play CLOSE DOWN - SLOW DOWN
- Close down fast, slow down with arms length
- Defensive shape
- Push attacker to outside
- Surf board stance (Use terminology - "SURF" and on balls of feet
- No diving in, wait for opportunity and error

Organization:
Bibs on one team
2 goals at each end of different colour

Players on both teams are given a number
Teams count score/points
Instruction:
The coach calls out a number or several numbers and plays ball into centre or decides which team to play to to provide the advantage. Each play is 30 seconds to score before the play is stopped. The team in possession attempts to score in either of the 2 opposition goals. Play stops when the ball is kicked out of play and then teams reset.
The first 3 minutes is open play then new rules are applied every 3 minutes.
Rules every 3 minutes:
Goal can only be scored after ball is carried over a specific zone or line.
Red goal is worth 1 point and purple is worth 3 points.
An extra point if all attackers are in opposition's half
Goal can only be scored with 1 touch.
Emphasis:
1st defender to judge distance to ball and decide to delay play or tackle
2nd defenders to provide cover
Side on defending and forcing play to one side
Communication on pressure and cover duties

Setup:
Indoor turf field.
Supply of balls along the outside and in the goals.
7v7 including 2 GKs
Pinnies and cones
Retreat line marked with cones at one-third
Instructions:
LOTG apply, including retreat line.
Minimal coaching required. Coaches only to remind players of playing ball quickly from kick-ins or dribble-ins, and when playing out of the back from the goal keeper. Coaches can use this time to demonstrate to goal keepers how to play quickly from the back and how to move the ball forward on a live ball.

Warm-up: Defensive Technique (5 mins)
Organization:
- Players in pairs with one ball between them
- Cones set up at 10 yard distance
Instruction:
- The player in possession dribbles from one end to the other and in encouraged to practice some skills while dribbling.
- Defender is passive and has to drop and keep the same distance from the dribbler, without pressuring.
- When defender reaches the end cone, attacker passes the ball to the defender and defender becomes the dribbler working in the opposite direction.
Coaching Points:
- Proper body shape - angled not flat/square
- Eyes on the ball
- Move/shuffle feet - one foot in front of the other
- Maintain appropriate distance
- Knees bent and keep balance
