SET UP: All players pair up and have a ball (colour coded for this example), pairs can now pass and dribble the ball to each other within the square.
KEY POINTS: When receiving are my fingers making a W? Types of pass - Chest, Bounce, Lob pass. When to dribble/when to pass? What types of pass are good for different situations.
POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS: Can you pass/dribble your ball between another pair? Can you pass your ball over another pair? What type of pass may you have to use? If a pair is finding it too difficult then 1 can step out of the square to open up more space.

SET UP: Half of the group now stand in the hoops, the other half start with a ball in the middle square. Players pass the ball from the sqaure to a player in the hoop then replaces that player, receiving player then dribbles the ball back to the square
KEY POINTS: Is my target ready to receive the ball - visual, verbal, body language? Can I vary my type of pass?
POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS: Time limit on receiving the ball and getting a pass off, this may change what type of pass has to be used (may have to move towards the ball) Can you put disguise on your pass? If too difficult to throw for distance use a different ball (likewise if its too easy use a smaller ball)

SET UP: Same as previous set up, however there is now 3 defenders outside of the square. Defenders job is to intercept passes or tackle dribbler. If defender gets the ball then throw it into the target.
KEY POINTS: How to minimize risk of interception, what type of pass? Distance of defender - close may be a bounce pass, mid range a lob pass, nearer target may mean a chest pass. How can I give myself more space - use of square.
POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS: Can you directly challenge your defender, use feints, hand skills to beat him. If player is lacking confidence then they can put on the safety bib which enables no defender interaction for 2 minutes so player can grow confidence in the environment.
Move into small sided games after.
