Shuttle Runs (10 mins)

Method:

Speed: Shuttle Runs. Perform a total of 6 Reps.


Coaching Points:

  • Run to the front cone then work clockwise or anti clockwise around the area, returning to the middle each time.
  • Ensure the player turns off different legs for example using the right leg on the outside cones and left leg on the inside cones to promote balance.
  • Get low and in and out of the turn as fast as possible.
  • This will expose the player to accelerations and decelerations and translate to high intensity pressing.
  • This will also improve the players anaerobic output by working at high intensity and high load.
