2 Channels, both 30 yards long. One team per channel, one team with balls. When coach calls "Go" the first ball player runs with their ball as quickly as possible, when they pass the yellow cone line the first non-ball player sprints to the end of their channel, first player to the end wins a point for their team. If the ball goes outside the channel the non-ball team wins the point.
Progress to both teams having balls and turn the drill into a simple RWB race.
Coaching points:
-Big touch out from feet with laces
-No close control (4-5 touches max)
-Don't slow the ball down to stay close to it, maintain your speed to match the ball
-Control the direction of your touch to stay within your channel

Conditioned Game: Regular rules but no passing is allowed in the opposing team's half. This will force the players to attempt to beat their defender using the dribbling skills they worked on in practice. Reinforce all previous coaching points by freezing the conditioned game as appropriate.
Progress to full scrimmage and revisit coaching points with individuals without freezing the game.

1 V 1 Possession (20 mins)
1 v 1 possession. Defender (Blue in the example) passes in to attacker who then tries to dribble past the defender between the two red cones, if they succeed they score 1 point. If the ball goes out of play, the match up is over and the players reset with red now becoming the defender. If the defender takes it from the attacker and dribbles between the opposite set of red cones then they score 1 point. Winning player moves up a division, losing player moves down one.
Coaching Points:
-Keep ball close to feet when moving slowly
-Larger touch with the laces to move at speed
-Attack the front foot of the defender
