4 v 2 to M3 Phase of Play (15 mins)
Play the 4 v 2 to release 6 to go forward, then 4 v 3 phase of play (one blue can join defenders).
Full description below, video evidence also available to support.
1, 3, 4, 5 and 2 keep giving the ball away when trying toplay out from the back as NZ are trapping us and forcing us to go long.
As NZ are playing 2 x ST’s we need to play the 4 v 2 minigame (red zone) and get out through our 6 to start the next phase of our buildup.
When our GK has the ball 3 and 4 should support and patientlytry to disrupt the distance between the 2 ST’s by providing width and depth andcirculate the ball across the back.
When the distance is enough to penetrate the 2 x ST’s weshould play our 6 with a quick forward pass so they can receive the ball on theback foot and move forward quickly.
6 to commit opposition 6 by driving towards them, 10 tosupport by moving into the space left behind and wide for next action which is,2 or 5 proving mobility with 3rd man run into M3/F3.
Ultimately, we should find ourselves with a 3 v 2 overloadon either side with our 10/2or5/7or11 against the NZ 7&2/11&5.
