Partner passing with turns

Organization: 

vertical channels 10 yds x 5 yds. 

2 players on each side

Drill: 

First player in line with the ball starts by passing the ball to teammate on the opposite side. 

Player who receives the ball - executes two different turns before passing the ball to the opposite side 

A) Receive (inside, outside & sole)  

B) Turns: U turn, step over, outside hook, step pull turn, cruyff, combos

Progression:  

1.  Outside players check/move side to side within the channel  to encourage players in the middle to look up and find teammate before executing the pass.

2. most creative turns combo wins

Coaching points: 

- Correct receiving technique: directional first touch

- Arm bar to protect the ball while executing the turns

- Game speed, change speed after the turn

- Correct passing technique: look where you want to pass the ball to, plant foot right next to the ball pointing at target, toes up / heel down, T shape with both feet, hit middle of the ball
