Organisation:
35 x 35 yd central zone.
Players split into 7 attackers and 7 defenders incl. GK (6 v 3 in central area)
Instructions:
Players play a 6 v 3 rondo in the central area. Once 4 passes are completed all players are live and the attacking team attack the goal.
Once 4 passes are made and the rondo is complete all players are freed and can move anywhere.
If the defending team wins the ball they counter to the small goals just over the halfway line.
Coaching points:
Use FB's to provide width with DM's sitting deep to cover for them.
Central players to stay within the width of the box to allow full backs space to advance and combine.

Organisation:
Set up 50 x 50 yd area to give pitch size realism.
Players split into 6 attackers (2 CDM, 2 WM,1 CAM,1 ST) and 7 Defenders (GK, 2 CB, 2 FB, 2 CM)
Footballs with the coach at the side of the area.
Instructions:
The coach starts with a supply of balls and passes into the Greens who attack the goal in whatever formation the coach wants to work on (231). With defenders set up in their formation (411).
After receiving the ball greens have 20 seconds to create a goal scoring opportunity.
Whites defend and look to win the ball before counter attacking to score in one of the goals just over the halfway line. The defenders have a Maximum of 10 touches to score.
Coaching points:
Decision making in possession, Pass the ball quickly and combine with players around you.
Quick early pressure out of possession.
Quick transitions looking to take advantage of players who may be out of position.
Be positive in possession, Pass accurately but play as quickly as possible
Progressions:
Add player(s) to greens
Increase / reudce time / touches in possession

Players split into two teams of 7 incl. GK
Instructions:
Goals can be scored in either the small goals or large goal.
Goals only count when finished ith one touch. If the pass the leads to the shot is also one touch then the goal counts as 2 if the pass before that one is one touch then its worth 3, so on and so forth.
Coaching points:
If you can play with one touch then do it.
Play to goal at speed
Play in triangles around pressure
Movement off the ball.

4 v 1 Rondo (20 mins)
Organisation:
(Based on 15 players)
Players split into 3 groups of 5
3 x 5yds x 5yds areas
A ball [er area plus balls available arounnd each area
Instructions:
The rondo is used to teach players good habits in possession.
Players set up in a regular 4v1 rondo.
Players pass the ball around trying to keep it away from the player in the middle.
Rules :
1) Players can only play back to the same player with their first touch.
2) If a player takes more than one touch then the first touch has to be with their back foot.
A player can only get out of the middle by
1) Noticing that a player in possession has broken one of the first two rules
2) They intercept or win a tackle maintaining possession (Knocking the ball out of the square does not count)
