Football/Soccer Session (Academy Sessions): playing with a false 9 and while rotating the front 3

The object is to play with a false NO.9 while rotating the front 3.

We are looking to play through the 3rds while getting our front 3 on the ball to go and create/score goals. once we get the ball into midfield one of our front 3 can come into the middle 3rd to try and get on the ball and take it into the final 3rd. We are also looking to give them the freedom to rotate but we always want to have 2 wide and one central. so if a wide player drops into the middle zone the central striker must then become a wide man and so on. Also when goal keeper is in possesion your deep lying midfielder is allowed to come into the 1st 3rd to create an overload in there aswell. If its to easy let a green player push forward to help the striker try win the ball back off reds. IF TO HARD - start with an overload in the 2nd third of the pitch aswell (take one green out)

Ball always starts from red teams Goalkeeper and must be passed from 1st 3rd to final 3rd. If the green team get in possesion give them a certain amount of time to get a shot on goal.

Coaching points -

Defenders - get wide early

be patient on the ball if we have to go backwards do it.

movement of the midfield 3 and front 3 try to create that diamond.

in final 3rd be creative.
