Organization:
Area - Half Field or Half Gym; 3 v 1 in the middle square; 5 v 3 in big square
Activity:
1. Blue players play 3 v1 versus Red player in the middle square; Blue attempts to retain possession
2. When Red player wins the ball; combines with outside players to create a 5 v 3 against Blue players
3. If Blue team win ball backs restarts with ball back in the middle square
4. Rotate middle and outside players
Progressions:
1. Players limited to 2 touches only
Key Possession Principles:
1. Communication/Eye Contact
2. Movement/Angles to receive the ball & get into space
3. Patient in possession - Play forward - quick to switch the play/transition
4. Support the man
5. Support the ball

Organization:
Area - Half field or Half gym; Play 5 v 3 with one Blue player in middle square
Activity:
1. Blue players on the outside look to maintain ball possession; when the opportunity presents itself need to play through central player and switch the ball
2. Red players look to win the ball and try to stop Blue from playing into the middle player; when Red wins the ball, they now play 3 v 1 against Blue player in the middle
3. Once Blue player wins the ball, reset ball to Blue players on the outside and restart the activity
Progressions:
1. Can play direct to central player in the middle

1. Communication/Eye Contact
2. Movement/Angles to receive the ball & get into space
3. Patient in possession - Play forward - quick to switch the play/transition
4. Support the man
5. Support the ball

Organization:
Area - Half field or Half gym; Two teams of equal numbers & 1 Neutral player
Activity:
1. Playing 4 v 2 ( 3 v 2 in the middle)
2. 2 middle Blue players work with Neutral in 3 v 2 and look to pass ball to outside Blue player - must make 2 passes; outside Blue player must receive ball between either set of cones; player who passed the ball out now switches roles and replaces outside Blue, who comes into the middle grid
3. Before switching in, outside Blue player now plays ball into Red team & joins middle as a defender; Red now work with Neutral and look to move the ball to their outside Red player
4. If defenders win the ball, they play back to their outside player and the game starts over
Progressions:
1. Middle player can make only 1 pass
2. Can use the outside player to maintain possession

Team Attacking - Possession & Switching SSG (15 mins)
Organization:
Area - Full field; 8 v 6 (4 v 3 in each half), goalies/CB play with Red
Activity:
1. Red looks to try and retain possession, including using GK/CB, scoring points by passing or dribbling through either wide gate
2. Red players are able to move anywhere on the pitch to create overloads enabling them to move the ball from one side to the other side
3. If Blue players win the ball they will attempt to score in either goal
Progressions:
1. Can play direct to players in the other half
