Three Gate Game (10 mins)

Two  Grids of 10 and 11( 21) outfield players , conducting 1v1s keep score

O passes to X and defends A + B. X attacks A or B to start with, introduce goal C later on in the session.

1 goal for A or B

2 goals for C

Key points-

Encourage forward and side moves quickly and effectively

Move away from the space that you want to go to

Body position to defend

Be aggressive

Progression:

2v1 or Transisiton if defender wins the ball

Conditioned game wide vs Vertical (25 mins)

Area : Narrow cones down the 18yd line With wide zones ( blue floaters ) and end zones for (red floaters )

Method : 6 v6 incl Gk's With two Blue floaters in wide channels right and left and red Floaters vertically positioned 

Rules : 

• 5 blues try to score in big goal with use of crossers in wide areas 
• 5 reds try to score in a central vertical build up 
• Floaters only have two touches 
• Blues alternate crosses
• Side to side cross ok 
• No limit on touches centrally 
• No corners or Throw ins 
• 2pts for scoring via a cross (Blues ) or cutback ( Reds ) Extra point for reds if Gk claims from a cross .
• 3 x 8 minute matches
