Purposeful Clearances: We will start with technique first and then build up. Not all clearences have to find our teams feet BUT ALL CLEARANCES MUST LEAVE THE DANGEROUS AREA.
An offensive player from 1 side will begin by taking a touch and sending a cross into the box. The defense will recover , get their bodies in good position to make an effective clearance. They will try find a player outside the "clearance line."
The defenders will then begin again at the cones and receive a ball coming in from the other side.

Recovering to Goal: Play will begin by a player from one side playing a 1-2 with the T player and accuratey making a pass into the goal. As soon as he makes his pass he goes and touches the outside cone and recovers at an angle to goal. As soon as the player touches the cone, a player from the other side will play a 1-2 with the coach and tries to score into the goal. Play will continue like this...

Receiving Long Balls
Receiving and Settling Long Balls/ Recognizing cues that a long ball is coming.
1) Each player in the back 4 will be assigned a player with a colored bib that will be delivering the ball in. 2) Upon recognizing the clues that a long ball is coming, the back 4 will begin to back up to obtain a good position. 3) The receiving player will get the ball quickly settled and play to another prescribed player.
