Attacking in Tight Spaces

When: Possession into and in the attacking 1/3 (middle three channels - half spaces/central space)

Overview:
20W 25L - 2 goals gks (no gks- small goals)
Blues starting the attack in 2v2 situation, when they score, GK saves or ball is out of play one more red/blue enter the pitch to create 3v3. After that 1 more blue/red enter the pitch to create 4v4. Blues get ball back if a natural stoppage occurs.
Then switch with focus to red team after 5mins.

Objective: Penetrating into attacking third through the central and half spaces, and creating shot.
Organization: 14 players (2 GK green/yellow, x6 red x6 blue) Maximum space allowed (ideally 30/40L 20/30 W).
Process:
Green GK throw, drive ball to blue 8 or 10 (GK yellow) collects any balls going through and releases immediately to blue 8/10.
Blue look to penetrate through the offside line, to create shooting opportunity.
Red win ball and play through, into yellow for point. The reset and start process again.

Establish the tactical picture within this format.
Restarts dribble/pass within 4seconds of going out to create faster thinking in and around attacking third.
Progression: Team execute combination and shot on target=1 goal if they score =3goals

Rapid Fire - 1 touch
Organization:
1 plays to 3 - 3 plays to 2 - 2 plays to 3 - 3 shoots on goal (all 1 touch)
Rotation: 1 goes to 2 cone - 2 goes to 3 cone - 3 gets ball and goes to 1 cone
Waiting team starts once 3 has taken shot - immediately

Instructions:
-Combination must occur to score goal**
- A takes a touch out of feet to begin game
- B is the attacker. A passes to B upon B's command
- C is the defender. C can also move on A's touch
- B is looking to score in the goals marked 1
- If C wins the ball, they are looking to score in the goals marked 2
- Play game until a goal is scored or the ball goes out of bounds
- Next ball plays immediately
- Play for 90 seconds, and then rotate roles.
Coaching Points:
- Movement to lose mark
- combinations = 1/2, overlap, give and go's, set and spin
- Scanning and using arms to feel for defender
- Decision based on speed of defender - Hold up ball, spin defender, turn and face
- Quality of pass into attacker
- change of speed and direction with and without ball
Progressions:
- go to big goals(gks) / progress to 2v2 with recovering defender (make a run around middle cone). Space 25Lx20W
