Method:
When blues win ball back they naturally transition into attack and allowed to use full width of pitch to encourage creating width and depth when in possession.
blues must carry the ball through one of the three gates.
IF reds win the ball back once again without the ball going dead, the blue team must recover and get back into original compact shape defending the goal.
as soon as ball is carried through the gates,reds are able to begin straight away, creating a transition back to defend once again for the blues.
Coaching Points:
Recovery runs to close gaps that may appear when possession is lost
make the pitch as wide as possible as quickly as possible
create overloads (3v1s) when in possession through movement frim defenders and midfielders.

Method:
Allow the play to flow. take note of any defensive mistake or improvements needed and address them during natural stoppages in play.
attempt to fix any individual errors durign the course of play to try to kept disruprions to play at a minimum.
Coaching Points:
identify and establish line of pressure and compactness in relation to line of defence
defend as a team, ball moves we move. establish triggers for pressing.

Method:
finish up with more free play. remove restriction to allow for more realistic match based scenarios
do not interrupt the play but instruct the players as they go.
Coaching Points:
reiterate all previous points that were made through out the session.
encourage good play, question poor decision making.

Method:
5-10balls, 8yellow cones, 6orange cones, 8blue bibs 6red bibs. One full sized goal set.
6Reds (3mids&3Att) attempt to play through 8blues(1-4-3) and score. Start point from Red #6 carries/pass ball into play. Blues must identify and establish a line of pressure.
When Blue team wins back possession, they transition into attack (width and depth) and carry ball through one of three gates. If ball goes dead, the play restarts from red #6.
Coaching Points:
establish a line of pressure
compactness in relation to the defence
defend as a team, the ball moves, the team moves.
establish triggers to initiate the press and recovery runs when they beat the press.
