Animation 1 (10 mins)

Set up:

  • 1x circle (smaller than here)
  • 1x player in the middle (can progress to more players) and other players
  • 3 or 4
Play:
  • Players in the middle try to escape from the circle (Alcatraz)
  • Players on the outside have to tag them (tap their hips / waist - face, head etc doesn't count
  • N.B. Players on the outside are not allowed in the circle - contrary to this video
Progressions:
  • Start players in the middle without a football, then progress to them having football
  • Add the number of players in the middle (make it easier for players in the middle)
  • Add players outside (more difficult for the the players in the middle)
Coaching points:
