Small sided game with 3 different zones per position. Players cannot leave their zone during play. However, the coach will switch the players position after a few minutes.
The defending zone will always have a numerical advantage to make it easier for the goalkeeper and defenders to break out of that third of the field. The middle zone should have equal players on each team.
Coaching Points:
- When in possession make the field big to create more space
- Give yourself as much time and space by greating a space between your defender
- Players shouldn't be standing right on the line between zones as this doesn't create any space, get them to check off the line so that they can go into the space and receive the ball

Depending on numbers there will be 5-6 players in each square. One player will be in the middle being the defender while the rest try to keep the ball away from them.
Switch the defending player after 2 minutes so that one player doesn't get stuck in the middle the whole time.
Can make a competition out of 2 groups to see how long they can keep the ball or how many passes they can make before the defender wins the ball.
Coaching Point:
- Use as much of the space provided as possible
- Take your touch away from the defender

The group is divided into 2 teams, each team will start with 1-2 balls. Each team is passing and moving with the ball in the smaller square (to start the ball is thrown and then caught, then it can be moved to passing and receiving on the floor). On the coaches command (big or small), the players then expand to the bigger square to continue passing and moving. While playing in the big square, and the coach says small, the players then shrink and again play in the small square.
After some time, get rid of all the balls but one, the teams will then play keep away with the ball with their hands. If the ball drops to the floor, its a loss of possession and the other team gets the ball. The same rule applies when the coach says big or small.
