6(+2) vs. 6(+2) Negative Transition Game
Organization: 36 x 40 yard Grid; 2 teams of 8 players. Inside area is 5v5 w/ both teams in 2-2-1 formation. Both teams have wingers positioned outside at the sides.
Rules:
Start w/ 6v6 game. When team loses ball, they need to squeeze space in the middle and block direct path to goal (forcing play wide). Team in transition from defense to attack have numerical advantage and can use wide players to make it a 7v5. When attack is finished, ball starts with team who just finished the attack. If team who has numbers up, loses the ball, they can leave their wingers on, but new attacking team can bring wingers on to make it 7v7.
Scoring:
1. Team in transition from defense to attack must finish attack in 8-12 seconds.
2. Team in transition from attack to defense recover the ball within 6 seconds, score 1 point, if you score off positive transition once you regained it, 1 extra point.
3. Outside players can both go inside area to transition to attack.
