Football/Soccer Session (Moderate): Gross Motor Skills - Turning Mechanics - U9 THRU U12

Inside-Outside Cuts - w/o ball (15 mins)

Organization:

1. Set up as shown.(12x12)

2. 2 yds between cones.

3. 10-12 players.

Instructions:

1. Players perfrom body movements that while simulate same

movements that will use with the ball to perfrom turns during the

session.

Part a:

- Use near foot to turn on far cone, turn again in near cone and

accelarate to teammate.

- Continue pattern.

Part b:

- Use far foot to turn on far cone, Turn again on near cone and

accelarate to teammate. (outside)

-Continue pattern.

Coaching Points:

1. Light on feet when performing turns.

2. Turn body completely in direction of final point (body facing)

3. Accelarate towards teamate.
