Description

Objective: Create chances by destabilizing the opponent’s defensive shape through

effective positioning, movement, and ball circulation.

Position Focus → Midfielders (6, 8, 10), Fullbacks (2, 3), Wingers (7, 11), Striker (9)

Game Moment →  Attacking (Final Third Entry & Chance Creation)

When → When is possession in the attacking half and the opponent is compact centrally

Where → (Attacking Half) Middle third into the final third, focusing on wide areas

Why → To destabilize the opponent, break lines, and create wide overloads

Ways to execute

1: Establish attacking shape → (7 & 11) create height and width to engage the the back line,

9 provides height with movement in blindspots and underneath to pin or disrupt CBs.

2: Midfield support (6, 8, 10) → 6 offers depth to recycle/switch play, 8 finds pockets

between channels, 10 stretches vertically or pulls wide to manipulate defensive shape

3: Create wide overloads (2, 3) with purpose → join the attack by supporting after a switch to

create overloads or progression options through give and go.

Coaches Notes : Receive on half turn | varie between short / long passes |

Play with limited touches (tempo) | Identify space to support (overlap or underneath)
