1v1 attacking
Organization:
as per diagram, 10-12 players split in 3-4 groups depending on the #s
cones, pinnies, balls, small nets
Instructions: GK plays the ball to defender D who starts on the goal line and have to sprint to the wide red cone and open up wide and then play the ball to A
When the GK plays the ball to D, A must check out/in to the cone and receive the pass from D
After A receives, goes 1v1 with D and has 7 seconds to score by beating D .If D gains the ball can score on either small nets
Teams switch every 5 min
Progression: A has 5 sec to score
Variation: you can have the GK play the ball to D who can attack the small nets and try to score (1v1). If A wins the ball attacks the big net
Coaching points:
- attack the ball (attacking mentality)

SSG Variation
- 2x 4v4 SSG variation on half a quarter field (2 games at the same time: reds vs blues and yellow vs green)
- 2-3 minute games and then switch teams from one field to another so that the 4 teams play against each other and have the chance to attack the big net
- Encourage players to take defenders on 1v1
Coaching points:
all the above
