2v2 SAQ SSG (15 mins)
Organisation
Set-up two long narrow pitches and place a small goal on each end-line.
Split group into two teams and each team into pairs. Play 2v2 with another pair waiting behind each goal.
When the ball goes out of play the playing pairs jog back to their goal. The waiting pairs sprint to touch the goal at the opposite end and then come in to play.
The team that put the ball out defends, and the other team attack first, collecting a ball from the end-line. However, if a team scores then their teammates collect the ball and attack first.
Progression
Pairs must score as many times as they can in 2 minute ‘matches’.
Give each pair a name (e.g. A, B, C etc) and have the pairs compete in a mini-league. Rotate pairs across the pitches (e.g. Round 1: A vs B and C vs D then E vs F and G vs H; Round 2: A vs D, B vs C then D vs H and E vs F; etc).
Keep the ‘work 1′:’rest 1′ ratio to keep the quality high.
