Organization/Setup:

  • PEM 
  • 7 , 6 , 11 , 9 

Instructions/Achievement Criteria:

  • starts at 6 , ball is played to 11 , 6 opens up on a angle so their body shape is open. 
  • 11 plays ball back to 6 , at this time 7 is opening up wide 
  • 6 plays ball into 7 
  • 9 shifts over and 7 plays 9 to end the pattern. 

Coaching Points/Questions:

  • body shape - are we open and facing forward
  • catch and play

Organization/Setup:

  • 7 v 7 Model 
  • PTDM - Opposed but predictable
  • make a short/ wide field 
  • cut field in half 
  • 2 cone gates 
  • 3 attacking players + a target 
  • 2 defending players

Instructions/Achievement Criteria:

  • defending team must defend in 2 channels - each defender must be on the same side of the field 
  • blue team must swing the ball across in order to pass in through the gate and into the target player
  • if blue is successful they get a pt 
  • if red wins the ball they have to dribble across the end line to score a pt.

  • All game rules in effect 
  • Non- negotiables are always present 
  • Focus switching the point of attack 
  • If ball is played through the midfielder from one side to the other team wins a point 
  • if the ball is played through the midfielder from one side to the other and it results in a goal this  is 3 pts. 
  • all other goals are one pt.
