Coaching Points: Low center of gravity, shield with arm not back, wide base. Player between ball and defender.
B) Turning with no Pressure
- "Turn" - Check at an angle, hips open, play on second touch.
- "man on" - Play back foot, bump it back and spin opposite side of defender to create separation. Make sure end player moves after laying it back off for the one two.
- 'Man coming' -stop the ball dead and bend it inside or outside
- 'Man on' outside of the foot turn (must be side on, to protect and add element of disguise 'soccer smart')
- 'man on' inside foot turn (open body and turn across to add element of disguise
- stop the ball (with side on base) and step-over (or any move) and exit
C) Turning With Pressure Game
- Attacker (1) checks to player with ball and tries to beat defender (2) by turning them and dribble across the endline. If defender wins it, or prevents the dribble they get one point. As soon as play is dead, now the opposite side works.
Scoring:
1 point if dribble across the line.
2 points if play into next player and get it back to dribble across the line.
