switching play 15 mins

topic: switching play - warm - up (10 minutes)

organization:

1. 

- place 2 cones opposite of one another about 15' apart 

- split players into to equal side by side lines

- players preform dynamic stretching

- high kicks, inside/outside steps, opening/closing hips (3-4 minutes)

2. 

- divide players into 3 lines of 4

- 2 players on the outsides opposite of one another

- 2 players in the middle

- 2 players on the outsides serve to players in the middle

- middle players preform various movements and ball manipulation then pass to the opposite side

- players receive, turn, stop the ball and change balls with other middle player - pass to the outside

- players receive, play a bounce pass back, then switch to the opposite server

- players receive, turn go around the other middle player and pass to opposite side

- coach switches middle players to outsides

key factors and progressions:

1. 

- players must take their time during dynamic stretching

- muscles and body should be warm before participating in sessions

- reduces the possibility of injuries

2. 

- scan before the receive 

- communication

- open body shape

- weight of pass

- speed of play

- switch play - transfer to opposite side

- defenders enter each side 

- neutral players support switch on each side 

- 1 team of 3 rotates in
