Organization: Closing down oppponent after passing the ball
Instructions: Players pass to a teammate of a different color pinnie. Once the pass the quickly close down the opponent. The opponent then keeps the ball and look to pass while defender looks to recive a pass from another player.
Coaching Points:
Long to short strides as they approach ball.
Approaching from outside shoulder.

Organization: Players Practice jockeying backward
Instructions:
Players run to opponent and touch them on the shoulder this signifies the drill has begun. The defender tries to shepard the attacker out of bounds or cross the endline before the attacker makes it there.
Coaching Points:
Low center of gravity, approach on the outside shoulder, arms length away
Progressions:
Add the ball. Players now have to jockey keeping the same body position until the attacker takes a bad touch.

Organization: PLayers practice closing down opponent and forcing them into unfavorable situations
Instructions:
Players play possession games using outside players as well. Players are encouraged not to let opponent turn when they recive the ball with their back to goal. Force to the outside or to weak foot. Proper timing of poke tackle.
