Breaking Lines general practice
Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
Regression: The defending team cannot defend split passes, only dribble/pass through the sides.
Progression: One defender can track inside on the higher player to make it difficult for him
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
"Can we create a 3rd man once we break the line?"
"Can we be patient to shift the defense and find the right gaps to play?"
Conditions:
Team in possession starts in one part of the grid, they look to shift the line of 2 and find a moment to break through to the higher player. They can then move to advance with him to make a 3v2 in the next zone, they must get to the other side where the next rep will take place going the other way. One guy must stay in the middle to be the high player.
Defender stay fixed for 2 minute bouts.
Targets:
One point for getting all the way across
