Organisation:
A goal with goal area relevant to age group (U9's = approx 24x12yds) and then 3 cones set back as in diagram.
Players spread evenly between the stations.
A ball per player.
Instructions:
The drill starts with the first player at station 1. The layer takes a touch towards the goal and then shoots un-opposed. As soon as they have shot they become a defender and defends in a 1v1 against the first player at station 2. After the player shoots or is dis-possesed he then becomes the defender in a 2v1 vs the first player from station 3 and the player from station 1.
After all 3 players have been they collect their balls and return to the rear of their station.
Coaching Points:
Encourage players to shoot as soon as they have an opportunity. They do not need to beat the defender but just create enough space to get the shot off.

Organisation:
30 x 30 yds area set up as above.
Split players into 1 GK, 2 defenders 1 server and the remaining players as attackers.
Balls available with the attackers and the server.
Instructions:
Attacker dribbles into the area and tries to score in one of the wide goals being defended.
If the attacker scores he is rewarded with a shot at the goal set up from server.
If the defender is succesful in stopping the attacker from scoring he is rewarded by swapping roles and joining the attacking line.
Progression:
The shot at goal must be a volley / bouncing ball.
Coaching points:
Take shots early.
Accuracy before power to get shots on target.
Techniques - Laces/Inside/Outside/Head.
Target areas - Corner of the goal/away from goalkeeper.
Rebounds to follow in shots & be clinical to finish.

Organisation:
35 x 35 yd area
Players split into - 2 GK's and 3 teams of 4
Plenty of balls available by each goal.
Instructions:
The game starts with a GK in each goal and 2 teams of 4 with a team of 4 resting.
Players are encouraged to shoot whenever they get the ball into the opponents half of the pitch. Once a goal is scored the team trhathas just conceded leaves the pitch and is replaced by the resting team.

Organisation:
20x20 yd area with a small goal set back 5 yds on each side.
A ball per player
Instructions:
Players dribble around the area performing ball manipulation exercises. On the coaches call/whistle players shoot at a goal.
Any player that misses or the last player to score has to perform a forfit in the way of a ball manipulation exercise.
Dribbleing exercises:
Scissors, Pull-Push, Flip-Flap, Maraddona, Ronaldo Chop, Step over-touch, Drag Back, Cruyff turn. Sole roll.
Ball manipulation forfits:
20 x Toe taps, Inbetweeners, Push Pulls, Knee taps,
Progressions:
Any player to miss or if all payers score the last player to score is out until there is only 1 player left.
Coaching points:
Surface of foot.
Eyes on the ball at point of contact.
Head/chest over the ball,
Non striking foot alongside the ball.
Strike through the ball with power.
