The focus this week will be on teaching the players the correct dynamic movement and turning skill set so they can receive to turn with pressure from behind, the emphasis will be on disguising their first touch with body movement to penetrate using those turn moves.

Instructions
player A passes to player B who recieves to turn going 1v1 pressure from behind coming from player C and must try to score
if C steels he must then transition & dribble through gate 1 or 2
Rotation
A moves to B
B moves to C
C collects the ball and goes to the back of the line
Coaching Points:
Turns
First touch/turns with pressure from behind principles
-Big touch to attack space
-Touch with foot in stride
-Contact with the laces
-Head up after every touch
-Awareness of next action
-Awareness of speed and direction of the defender
-Can you get in front of the defender and cut across them if wanting to continue to dribble? Diagonal touch across the defenders pathway
-Execution of move if they are looking like they will overshoot you
-End product
turning moves based on ability
Turning - Inside Cut
-Step to the side of the ball with the non kicking foot
Pivot on that foot
-Cut the ball back with the inside of the opposite foot
-Turning - Outside Cut
-Take a big step past the ball and plant foot
-Pivot on that foot
-Cut the ball back with the outside of the opposite foot
Intermediate
Inside spin
Number of touches dependent on position of covering defender
-Position of non-kicking foot to help move the ball forward
(non-kicking foot ahead of ball)
-1st touch close to protect the ball with inside of the foot
-2nd touch to help turn if 3 touches
-2nd touch bigger if turn is 2 touches
-Angle of touch depending on pressure
Advanced
outside spin
-Number of touches dependent on position of covering defender
-Position of non-kicking foot to help move the ball forward
-1st touch close to protect the ball with outside of the foot
-2nd touch to help turn
-3rd touch bigger to help with acceleration
-Angle of touch depending on pressure
Progressions:
take out one goal and centralize the other teaching the player to take an angled touch then cut back into space goal bound.

1st touch receive to turn with SAQ (20 mins)

Instructions:
player A completes the side steps SAQ through the blue cones and checks forward for the ball A then recieves a pass from players B who will follow there pass and start the SAQ for the next rotation, when A receives to turn(refer to coaching points for turns) round the cones then excelerate through the end gate and rotate to the back of the end of the opposite line.C will then pass the ball into B and continue the cycle.
Teach the players to turn on both sides right and left foot
